A Free Clinic, Concert, and Live Jam with Legendary Rocker Liberty Devitto will own Montreal on May 3!

Camp Jam and NAMM's Ready-Set-Rock! Tour is sending Liberty DeVitto (Drummer for Billy Joel) to Montreal for a weekend to spread his rock wisdom and give away some free Camp Jam in the process.

Camp Jam, North America’s ultimate rock ‘n’ roll summer day camp with programs this summer for the first time in Montreal, is teaming up with an area music store and local academy to present The Camp Jam Ready-Set-ROCK! Tour, an interactive, educational music experience for youth rockers featuring a legendary rock musician.

The free event will take place on May 3 at Musicircle’s in Pierrefonds and Drum Bazar in Montreal. The event will kick off with a special concert performance by Liberty DeVitto, one of rock music’s preeminent drummers who played in Billy Joel’s band for more than 30 years and has backed luminaries such as Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger and Stevie Nicks. After performing, DeVitto, along with Camp Jam’s pro music instructors, will trade licks and share tricks of the trade with the young rock musicians in attendance, providing them with valuable tips to hone their rock ‘n’ roll chops.

Also, Camp Jam will host a Best Rock Solo Contest at each location with the winning rockers receiving a free week to Camp Jam Montreal. All guitarists, bass players, drummers, keyboardists and singers, ages seven to 17, are invited to come down, plug in and play their best 30-second rock solo.
